Sample 1
Sample 1 details a collision between a hatchback car and a pedestrian. The pedestrian in question entered the road from behind a bush, severely limiting the driver's reaction time. The use of eLocus animation allowed the calculation of likely distances and reaction times for the driver. Video footage, 360° photography and aerial photography are all used to discern lines of sight for both parties.
Sample 2
Sample 2 details a high speed, nighttime, collision between a saloon car and a 7.5 Tonne Truck. The saloon car driver was believed to have been travelling in excess of 80mph and drove through a red traffic light. In this case, eLocus animation was used to display the mechanics of the actual collision, as well as the rapidity of the chain of events.
Sample 3
Sample 3 details a collision between a van and a motorcycle. The van in question was turning into a side street, with the driver unable to see the third party motorcycle approaching from behind. Witness information stated that there were, in fact, two motorcycles, racing one another at high speed, with the claimant travelling the wrong side of a traffic island. eLocus animation was used to calculate a sequence of events showing that the motorcycles were in all probability hidden from the wing mirror view of the van driver prior to beginning the turn.
