Welcome to eLocus

eLocus is a new locus inspection package exclusive to Absolute Partnership. By use of cutting edge technologies, we are able to develop upon the old standard photographs and scale drawings to provide our clients with the ability to manipulate images online to change views and perspectives but also to watch computer generated animations overlaid on original video footage of the scene in order that an environment can be created to view all relevant speeds, directions and other information gleaned from witness, Police Officers or Collision Investigators.

eLocus information is presented in the following ways:

• Video Films showing the routes taken by each party.
• 360° Photography of the view available from significant points which the user can move.
• Interactive Sketch Plan & Digital Photographs that respond to PC mouse movements.
• 3D CGI Animations of each party’s route. These are created so that they accurately represent the speed, vehicle dimensions and positioning of each party.

By using eLocus, we are able to offer our clients a far greater understanding of the collision mechanics, when compared with the usual static sketch plan and photographs. These traditional methods are still used because they can offer a speedy graphical illustration, but eLocus gives much more of an in-depth view and can be user defined.

The package is presented online through a standard web-browser, which means that it can be viewed from anywhere by a Claims handler, Lawyer, Counsel other interested party. Each eLocus screen is tailored for each client and is password-protected to rigorous standards, so access is limited to those who are authorised.

System requirements are minimal; all videos and animations should play through Windows Media Player; Acrobat Reader (or similar) will be required to open diagrams and documents. The only other requirement is that the web browser should be Java-enabled.
